The bigger sensors definitely help in low light and give better image quality, especially for spotting at a distance. I’ve found refresh rate matters more than I expected for fast movement.
I’ve also had good luck using this one https://www.pixfra.com/outdoors/thermal_scope for spotting coyotes around the farm after dark. Image is sharp, even at a distance, and the scope holds zero pretty well after a few bumpy rides in the truck. Battery life’s decent too—I got through a few nights on one charge with conservative use. Pretty simple layout for controls, so I didn’t need to mess with a bunch of settings out in the field.
