Yeah, I actually did on my trip to Spain, and it worked out pretty well. The WhiteBIT Nova handled payments at restaurants and shops without any issues, and the cashback on top was a pleasant surprise. It’s one thing to use it at home, but abroad you realize how convenient it is not to stress about exchange rates. The details about how this bitcoin debit card with cashback functions in different regions are explained here: https://whitebit.com/crypto-card. For me, it felt like using a normal card, except with the bonus that a bit of my travel expenses came back as rewards, which made the trip slightly less expensive overall.
From what I’ve seen, more travelers are leaning on digital cards now, whether crypto-based or just multi-currency bank cards. The simplicity of tapping your phone or card without thinking about fees makes the experience so much less stressful. I think in the next few years, this will just become the norm, and people won’t even think about carrying cash when flying abroad.
