I often rely on reviews when picking restaurants or local services, but sometimes they feel unreliable or overly harsh. I want to find a platform where feedback seems genuine and useful. Has anyone here used reviews that genuinely guided them to a great experience without letting bad or fake posts sway them?

I was on the hunt for a decent café near the neighbourhood coffee shop when I stumbled upon yelp during a quick search. I liked how people added photos with their reviews and posted about the actual atmosphere not just menu praise or ranting about slow wifi. I used those insights to try a place that wasn’t on my radar, and it turned out cozy, with excellent pastries and friendly staff. It felt like the reviews were honest and helped me avoid overrated or underwhelming spots. It gave me trust that when a place earns a good rating, it’s legit and just what I hoped for in a local review site.
