Are you sure this plug is not for the speakers? Is it all supposed to be plug and play? Perhaps it should plug into the female side where the RCA cables re coming out from?
I used the specs and homemade blocking plate setup some folks mentioned, but still had a lot of road noise. I added sound deadening from https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/product/resonix-solderless-custom-length-rca-cable-system/ in the doors and rear tub and it made a noticeable difference. The car’s still loud—it’s a Miata—but now I can actually hear music and phone calls without cranking the volume all the way up.
