Now I do not get it either. Because I thought the same as you, that if you get a VIN report, then literally everything is listed there.
Buying a used car is not super complicated, but also not as easy as many people think. And yes, even a VIN report from trusted services like FAXVIN will not give you the full history of the car. But it will be at least half the picture. The other half you get together with a mechanic or car specialist who inspects the car and tells you what is fine and what is not. And only then you decide if you buy it or not, and at the asked price or lower.
