Welcome to my website!
I am so happy to be teaching Music for Young Children. After teaching private piano lessons for 15 years I enrolled my two children in the Music for Young Children program. I was amazed at all they learned, and more importantly they loved it! I was so excited, I decided to start teaching my own classes. I have now been teaching the program for eight years. I love to see children enjoy music so fully, and I feel Music for Young Children far exceeds other methods of teaching these precious little people.
The piano based programs are Sunshines (ages 3 & 4), Sunbeams (ages 5 & 6) and Moonbeams (ages 7, 8 and 9). Each class contains a small group of children (up to six) and a parent. The concepts are taught in a variety of fun age appropriate activities such as stories, puppets and games.
There are also 3 - 10 week Sunrise blocks for children  21/2 - 4 years old. These classes include rhythm instruments, singing, games, stories and much more!
Now offering classes for even the youngest child. Music Pups is for children 0-4 years old. These classes run in 10 week blocks, and are a great introduction to music. We sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, learn rhythm and tonal patterns, and have a whole lot of fun!

"Last year our son was introduced to music in Sunbeam I, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I was amazed at how much he had learned in one year, and how wonderful his composition piece sounded. "If that is how much a 5 year old can accomplish in a year," I thought, " I would like to do that too." This year our MYC instructor offered a class for adults, so I enrolled in Moonbeam I, and am enjoying every moment of class and practice time."
