Hi, my name is Courtney Clark. Thank you for visiting my page!

I am proud to be a part of the Music for Young Children program. The classes are fun for the children (and parents - and me!). Children benefit from these classes by integrating games, singing, rhythm ensembles, listening activities, movement, and stories along with the actual physical piano playing. The group atmosphere encourages teamwork and helps the children count as they play their rhythm instruments and piano songs together. Every student also has an opportunity to have solo time near the end of class so I can give individual feedback and encouragement.

As a young child, age 3, I knew I wanted to play the piano. My parents enrolled me in Music for Young Children at age 4. What I remember most about MYC are the games and songs... I didn't even know I was learning :).

MYC gave me a strong foundation as I continued my musical journey through Conservatory Canada, up to Grade 10 level.

MYC gave me the confidence to perform in front of large groups; recitals, my high school graduation, various talent shows, song writer's competition, open mics, weddings, and just in front of my friends and family.

From experience, I can say that Music for Young Children is an amazing program. I look forward to hearing from you and answering your questions!
