I am Rebecca Thiessen, an MYC teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba!

As a piano teacher in St. Boniface, I have enjoyed the

wonderful privilege of helping many children

form the happy habit of making music.

"Coming to Mrs. Thiessen’s studio for music lessons is the highlight of each week for my five year old twins. They love to practice what they learn and perform for people. With the twins starting Kindergarten I feel confident that their classes have even prepared them for school in numerous ways.

My son was not only enjoying lessons so much more but suddenly all the theory was making sense to him thanks to the brilliant teaching style that only MYC offers.

I am in my 7th year of teaching the Music for Young Children program.  I believe it is the best program for children to learn to play piano because of it's child centered approach, meeting each child at their different learning styles.  It is amazing how much children learn how to play piano when quality music education is blended with the pleasure and joy of music making.
