Hi! I'm Denise Burnett owner of MY MUSIC CENTRE and MYC teacher in Whitby Ontario.
This year will mark my thirteenth year as a Music for Young Children teacher and interest in the program continues to grow at an amazing pace. I became involved with Music for Young Children some years ago with my then, two-year old, after leaving kindergarten teaching to be a stay-at-home mom. It was fun and rewarding not only to have my daughter in a music program, but to be participating and learning with her. My goals are to foster a love of music and make every child and parent feel special as we learn and grow together as musicians. It is very exciting to be entering our sixth year in our new commercial music school. We remember fondly a great first year with 3 of us teaching MYC and several other teachers joining us to offer lessons on a variety of instruments. We had so many new families join us and look forward to many more. In the Fall, we will have 3 Music For Young Children teachers and 7 others teaching many different instruments. We are also pleased to offer method and theme books, guitars, and related accessories for sale in our retail outlet.
