Paula Grenke

I am a stay-at-home mother of two in the Perth Area. I have been teaching for 15 years. I have a deep love of ethnomusicology, in particular Television, Film, and Video Game music. This interest evolved out of my study of Japanese, Chinese, and Northern Indian Music in university. I am delighted to be expanding my studio and offering MYC classes! I love helping the kids to understand theory, or become skillful with the pieces they are playing. The look of pride and pleasure on their faces is the best part of my job.

My studio is based in my house, where I have been teaching private lessons. I have many instruments, including piano, keyboards, saxophone, guitar, axatse (Ghanan gourd instrument), and others. I have many books about music and instruments. If you look around, you may catch a glimpse of my Beijing Opera Mask collection!
