Hi! I'm Heather Brannon! Welcome to my MYC website and Brannon's Music Room! Why begin with MYC?  MYC has taken a child based approach to learning music through a clever merging of study and play.  Our classes are small, our programs age-appropriate, and creativity and expression are nourished in every component of the program.  MYC has been introducing children to the world of music through a multi sensory approach that meets a child's learning style and needs since 1980.

I believe that all children should have the opportunity to experience how fun music can be. Music for Young Children offers a wonderful learning environment to expose young children to the exciting world of music. I believe that music is not just an activity to enroll your child in -- it is an education.  I choose to teach Music for Young Children programs because I believe they offer the best in early childhood music education.  Give your child the gift of music--a gift that lasts a lifetime!

I have obtained a Grade 9 certificate in piano and a Grade 3 certificate in History and Harmony from the Royal Conservatory of Music. I am a member of the Fredericton Music Teachers' Association and am a certified instructor for Music for Young Children®. I have taught private piano lessons for 32 years and began offering the Music for Young Children programs in 2004.  I enjoy teaching young children and completed 19 years of home schooling my 3 daughters.  All three of my girls graduated from the MYC program and continued to study music--guitar, singing, ukelele, and piano.  My husband enjoys playing the drums. Music is a very large part of our family life. In addition to Music for Young Children classes, I also offer private piano lessons for children age 7 and up. I look forward to talking with you to discuss how I can assist you and/or your children in exploring the wonderful world of music!  

FALL CLASSES 2026 Keyboard programs:

• Sunshine 1 (for age 4) * 10 month program * next class starting Sept. 12, 2026
• Sunbeams 1 (for ages 5 & 6) * 10 month program * next class starting Sept.  12, 2026

• Registration fee:
• Sunshine 1 - $220.50 - covers all books and materials for the year - due upon registration 
• Sunbeams 1 - $222.23 - covers all books and materials for the year - due upon registration
• Lesson fee: 
• $710 for the year - this can be paid in 10 monthly payments or in 4 installments during the year

• Private Piano lessons: For ages 7+ and adults * call to book a lesson time *  $75 per month for 10 months (30-min lesson)
• Brannon's Music Room is located at 390 King Street (corner of King and York), Suite 211.  I am looking forward to meeting you in downtown Fredericton!   
• The large teaching room is bright and cheery and is equipped with: 1 acoustic piano 4 digital pianos 1 Keyboard Handbells Boomwhackers Variety of rhythm instruments Music teaching aids (puppets, scarves, co-op band, magnetic board, music games, etc)
