Yvonne Gaertner

Hi! I'm Yvonne Gaertner Welcome to my MYC website and music studio... I began teaching Music for Young Children in 1992 and have had the opportunity to teach countless students over the years including my own 3 children. My music education includes Royal Conservatory of Music Grade VIII Piano and Grade II Theory.   My primary instruments are piano and flute.  I have led church worship and continue to maintain my music studio in the Hall Road area of Kelowna teaching both Music for Young Children classes and private lessons. I was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba before moving to Osoyoos to finish high school.   Following high school I moved to Vancouver to attend UBC and obtain my Bachelor of Science as a Dietitian . In addition to teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, quilting and the outdoors. TESTIMONIALS "Yvonne has taught my 2 children this year and they absolutely love attending her classes! She is a wonderful teacher and is extremely patient and positive when helping them learn the concepts of piano. I am continually amazed how well the children play and how proud they are of their accomplishments thanks to Yvonne and her love of piano. I have already registered my 3rd child in Yvonne's class and she is so excited about attending Yvonne's class as I am excited about watching her learn to play this wonderful instrument . NY "
