Jessica Heisler

Welcome! My name is Jessica Heisler and I am so happy you are here! A little bit about me: I grew up on an acreage just outside of Lacombe with my parents and an older sister. Music was always at the centre of our home. My father played the trumpet, and my Mother, the piano. At 4 years old I was put into MYC, which sparked my love for music. After completing MYC, I took private voice and piano lessons. By the 8th grade, I had completed my Grade 8 RCM piano exam and advance theory exam. I continued to take voice lessons all through high school and joined Burman University/Parkview Adventist Academy Choral Union Choir. In 2015, I attended Burman University for my bachelor of Art in music, specializing in voice. While Attending Burman University I was able to start teaching voice and piano lessons, I instantly fell in love. My Favourite classes were theory and counterpoint! In 2019 I graduated cum laude from Burman University with my bachelor's of arts degree in music. I am so excited to be teaching MYC; and so excited for you to start! Apart from music, I enjoy dabbling in other art forms—one of my favourites being cake decorating. I even made my own wedding cake!
