Hi! I'm Miss Kathy!

If you are looking for music lessons in Maple Ridge B.C. of the highest quality and the most fun then you need to learn about Music for Young Children (MYC)

I am a piano teacher who has been teaching MYC in the Ridge-Meadows area for over seventeen years and I love it!  I like Music for Young Children because it provides a keyboard class that motivates and engages both parents and children.  MYC is enriched with solid music foundations and allows me to provide you with an empowering and enjoyable music class for  both you and your child.

     

Classes are available for the following ages and registration is happening now!
Ages 2-4                       Sunrise         (10 week block/ begins late September 2010)
Ages 3 1/2 and 4         Sunshine One (year-long program begins in September)
Ages 5 and 6              Sunbeams One (year-long program begins in September)
Ages 7,8 and 9          Moonbeams One (year-long program begins in September)

It is my goal that your introduction to music in MYC will be just the beginning of a life that will include the joy of playing and appreciating music.

This year I will begin my eighteenth year of teaching Music for Young Children. I also teach private students up to Grade Six.  My piano studies began at age 7 and continue today. I have completed my Grade Ten Royal Conservatory in  piano and I am currently studying to complete my ARCT Teachers Diploma. My education also includes a B.A. from Simon Fraser University.  Professionally, I am a member of the Student Auxiliary of the Registered Music Teachers Association (Coquitlam/Maple Ridge Branch) and the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Arts Council
