Jennifer Baxter is a passionate teacher, accompanist, and performer. She received her Associate diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto at the age of 18. Jennifer has been teaching piano and theory since 1998 and is an active Ontario Registered Music Teacher.
After moving from southwestern Ontario to North Bay in 2007, she was offered the opportunity to teach the Music for Young Children Program. Having had many MYC grads as private students in her studio over the years, she values the MYC program. She has seen how easy it is for MYC students to transfer into private lessons. The wonderful foundation that the MYC program provides students allows them to often progress at a much quicker pace into intermediate and senior piano levels.
Jennifer’s love of music extends from teaching to performing where she has experience as a church organist, performer in public concerts, weddings, theatre productions and as an accompanist for vocal and instrumental soloists.
Jennifer resides just outside of North Bay with her husband Jonathan and two dogs Dakota and Duchess.
