Music for Young Children is a wonderful way to learn musical skills. You, your child and I will have fun exploring a variety of musical areas together. Until I became a parent myself, I never realized the value of group piano lessons as a strong base for young children. I have now completed my seventh year of teaching MYC and I love working with younger children!
I am a university-trained clarinetist with over 20 years of private teaching experience. You may have seen me playing in the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra. My private students are aged 9 through 70. Classes and lessons are held at the Kamloops Symphony Music School, located in a beautiful spot in downtown Kamloops. In July, 2010, MYC held its 30th Anniversary Conference in gorgeous Banff. I met many experienced and knowledgeable MYC teachers who shared so much information with me. Now I am ready to share some of my newly acquired skills with you and your family.
This summer I plan to go to Los Angeles to attend an international clarinet conference. I know it will inspire me to share new ideas with all my students!
