Hello! My name is Patricia Ross.
I would like to introduce myself to you. I have been a Music for Young Children teacher for the past 13 years in the Belleville area and have enjoyed every minute with my young children and their parents. I teach in two locations- MYC classes and private piano lessons are given at Pinnacle Music Studios in Belleville but I also have a home-based studio in Plainfield, where I teach private piano lessons.
In 1995 I received my ARCT in piano pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and won the Adelmo Melecci scholarship for excellence in performance. I had a young family at the time and was excited to be able to stay at home and still be able to share my love of music, by giving music lessons at home. In 1997, I discovered Music for Young Children. I had been looking for a program that would suit my very youngest students and involve their parents at the same time. The program is fun, challenging and well-rounded and provides me with an opportunity to bring music to life for the very young.
In July 2009, after 11 years with the Youth Chorale, I retired from the accompanist's position with the Hastings and Prince Edward Childrens' Chorus in Belleville. During those years, I participated in three European competitions in Austria and performed concert tours in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Currently I am very involved in the Belleville music community as an accompanist to musicians for recitals, competitions and various festivals.
