Hi!  I’m Patti Knightly.  Welcome to my Website!

  Having taken piano lessons from the age of four I came to the conclusion that children should not start formal music lessons until much later.  And then I encountered Music For Young Children and it changed my mind completely!  I am so impressed with how Music For Young Children incorporates all learning styles into each fun filled lesson!  I wish I had learned music this way as a child.  I consider it a joy to teach children the language of music in such an age appropriate way.
 

   

Education and Experience:

Besides all levels of teacher training for Music For Young Children I have completed grade 9 piano equivalency in Royal Conservatory along with corresponding Theory and Harmony.  
 I have extensive experience performing music (both piano and singing groups) for weddings, funerals and church services.  I also have extensive experience  working with children having been a nanny, a daycare worker, a piano teacher to a child with special needs and a mother.
  I have a Bachelor of Cross Cultural Ministry degree which provided me the opportunity to live and teach children's clubs in Central America, to teach Conducting to spanish college students and to teach piano lessons to expatriate children.
