Hi! I'm Carol Coutts

Welcome to my home studio!  I am excited to be offering level one MYC classes as well as level 2 and 3 groups! Students will be engaged and learning new concepts, playing scales and songs both together with classmates as well as solo time with me! I have beginner groups listed on this page, but I also have some spaces in other levels for students who may be transferring in and looking for a spot. I am a believer in loving what you are learning and this is my philosophy behind teaching the Music for Young Children Program. Learning to love music by participating in a class that entertains, enriches and delights young children and their parents is my goal. Each week, parents and children play, develop and interact in ways that make learning fun. New activities, new games and exciting events make it hard not to love Music for Young Children.

My Musical Background:

I have been a Music for Young Children Teacher for over 40 years, mostly in the Bedford area

I have a Degree in Elementary Education and I am presently a music teacher with HRSB

I play piano, guitar, drums, recorder and several band instruments

My students participate in Music Festivals, Exams, recitals and in class performances

Many of my former students have gone on to become musicians, music therapists, and lovers of music!
