Meet the Teacher

Hi! I'm Sharon St. Pierre

I'm having a fantastic time giving "Music for Young Children" music lessons at my home music studio in Stevensville (Fort Erie).

It is very rewarding to be teaching such a well-rounded music program to children ages 2 to 9.  Students and parents love the wide variety of musical experiences that MYC has to offer.  Learning to play piano/keyboard, singing, listening, composing and doing rhythmic activities, allows the students to blossom into proficient and versatile musicians.

MYC presents concepts in a fun yet informative way through the use of games, stories, puppets, and movement activities.

  • I am a graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Bachelor of Music (Honors Music Education), and Bachelor of Education programs.

"I am the grandmother of Katie, age 9, who is in her second year of the MYC program, taught by Sharon St. Pierre. I cannot say enough about Sharon's teaching method. She makes each lesson informative and fun, and goes out of her way to make sure her students understand. Katie has learned so much in this program, and thoroughly enjoys it, all due to Sharon's expertise in teaching. Sharon celebrates special holidays, birthdays, etc., as well as having special recitals throughout the year for the children to perform for family and friends which, as a result, makes the children feel "very special". The MYC program is excellent for a child's first introduction into music. I would recommend it for any parent considering music for their child."   T. Maich
