 Parent participation is required for all MYC classes (with the exception of children aged 10 and up in My Choice classes). This is a special time for you and your child to make music together. Private lessons are unparented, but I have an "open door" policy if you would like to quietly observe.

Tuition for MYC Sunshine, Sunbeams and Moonbeams/MyChoice classes is $670 per year and includes 34 lessons per year plus 2 recitals, payable in 10 monthly post dated cheques of $67 (books and materials are a separate cost and non-refundable).Please bring ALL post dated cheques to first class (no exceptions) made out to Michelle Miller.  Sunrise tuition is $160 per 10 week block and includes a $30 non-refundable deposit (no refunds after first Sunrise class).  Tuition for private piano lessons varies (see Find out the Cost) and includes 34 lessons plus 2 recitals.  REGISTRATION should also be made payable to Michelle Miller.

Please come to class a few minutes early to copy homework quietly before class begins, but please be considerate of any on going class or private lessons and do not disturb. And remember, my studio is also in my home so please be respectful of that.  If you cannot get to class early , you may copy the homework after class.

Missed classes or lessons will not be reimbursed or rescheduled, however any classes I cancel due to my own illness or absence will be rescheduled or made up at the end of the year. Please notify me promptly if you must miss a class and I can email the homework for the week to you.  PRIVATE STUDENTS: you are required to commit to attending 34 lessons between mid September and mid June.  NO refunds will be given for lessons not taken by the third week of June.  I may have to cancel from time to time due to illness, meetings, music festival, exams but I will ensure I still offer you at least 34 lessons in the year.  Please do not ask me to rearrange my schedule for your extra-curricular activities.

Siblings are not permitted to attend classes unless also registered for that class, OR are old enough to sit  in waiting area without disturbing the class.

Good practice habits are necessary for success.  Five practice days per week are he secret to your child's success & very strongly recommended.  Incentives will be given for both MYC classes and private lessons. A piano or keyboard is required for students to practice on in their own home. 

Books and materials fees are due upon registration (please see Find out the Cost) $50 of that fee is non-refundable in case of withdrawal prior to the first day of class.  This is to cover shipping costs of returning books and materials to MYC head office.

Families are expected to commit to the full year to receive the most benefit, but withdrawals, due to extenuating circumstances, are possible with 2 full months notice before December.  NO REFUNDS for withdrawals AFTER December. No refunds for Sunrise classes after the first class.
