Guidelines for Mrs. Lois's Studio
1. Lets start on time! Please come a few minutes before class starts to fill in the homework book. But, we will start without you if you are late. If, you are late please come in quietly so you do not disrupt the class.
2. Many parents become friends or join the class along with a friend and their child BUT please talk and visit with each other outside of your child's lessons. If you are new to music, be sure to take notes on new concepts, to help you remember what's been taught in class, so you can help your child at home. Please do not answer questions directed to the children.
3. No food or drinks in the studio or waiting area (this includes coffee unless you buy one for me also...I like lattes from Starbucks - skim milk, decafe, no foam, extra hot- I really like cinnamon dolce- lite) But, it's really not a good idea as they do get tipped over and valuable class time is spent cleaning it up.
4. Wash your hands before coming into the studio. Please do not be offended, if I remind your child to quickly go wash his hands.
5. Please park in driveway or in front of the house. If parking spots are full please park in front of the mailboxes on Mallard Street. Pull right up into the driveway so that someone can park behind you. Keep chatting in foyer down to a minimum while waiting for your class to start. Please do not disturb the class that is finishing.
7. There are NO refunds for missed classes. Contact me for the homework and I will e-mail it to you. If you wish me to tape a class for you please drop off a blank tape prior to class.
8. If you desire a make-up lesson for your child, contact me and I will do one for a cost of $18.00 per half hour.
9. Siblings are not allowed to wait in the house or yard at any time. If you need someone to sit with your child for a class if you cannot make it, please contact me and I will get one of the MYC graduates to help your child. They charge $5.00 per hour.
10. One months notice is required before leaving the program plus lesson fees. Once you start the MYC program your spot cannot be filled as the program runs for 34 weeks.
