Studio Policies:
MYC is a parent participation program. A parent (or other designated adult) must accompany your child to lessons.
Your child needs your full attention during class time. Please arrange for siblings to be cared for elsewhere.
If your child will be absent from a class, please call ahead or e-mail to notify before hand.
There are no refunds for missed classes.
If you miss a class, e-mail or call to find out what was covered, and receive the homework for the week.
Two months lessons are non-refundable if you withdraw from the program once classes have commenced, as it is not possible to fill your spot. All remaining post-dated cheques will be returned.
The initial Registration Fee is non-refundable.
Homework & Establishing Good Habits:
A piano or digital touch-sensitive keyboard is required at home for practice.
5 days a week practice is required (for younger students this could be colouring in workbook, singing, etc. For older students 15 minutes daily on the keyboard and in workbooks).
It’s important to have a regular practice time, preferably the same time each day.
Please do not work ahead in the workbooks. It is essential that the workbooks go along with the lesson, in proper progression.
Recital:
We will have a recital at the end of the year where your child will be able to perform a solo piano piece and/or group ensemble.
