Parents and Kids:
MYC is a program designed for parental involvement in the child's music education. Thus, parents come to classes with their child and interact in the class along with 3-6 other students and their parents. (Sibling attendance is strongly discouraged so as to maximize the focus and learning environment of the student). The parent is also involved and oversees the practicing during the week.
Recitals
Generally there will be a small, class-sized recital (usually in class about mid-year) and then all the classes will combine to put on a larger recital near the end of the year. This one is where the students can invite their friends and family to see them perform a keyboard selection and often a singing and rhythm ensemble selection as well.
