Payments

Registration fees are due upon registration as this is sent to head office to purchase the materials.  Lesson fees can be paid in one lump sum at the first class; by the term in three post-dated cheques dated Sept. 1, Dec. 1, and Mar. 1; or by the month with ten post-dated cheques for the first of each month from Sept. to June.

Refunds

Music lessons require a year-long commitment from you and me. Since I am making a year-long reservation in my schedule for you and your child, and children cannot be added during the year, lesson fees and the registration/materials fee is not refundable.  Exceptions will be made in cases of moving or extended illness.

Siblings

It is against MYC policy to have siblings sit in on a class for which they are not registered. It is distracting to the students and is not fair to other parents who hire babysitters to look after their other children. In case of emergencies, please call ahead and arrangements may be made.

Practicing

It will be important to keep pace with the class. This requires regular practice sessions at home. You may find it helpful to pick the same time each day to do the practicing.  It is helpful if the adult that accompanies the child to the lesson is the person responsible for assisting with the practice.

Missed Lessons

If you miss a lesson, please contact me so I can get the lesson homework to you over the phone or via e-mail. If several lessons are missed, make up lessons may be scheduled.
