FEES
The registration fee and nine post-dated cheques are required to reserve your child's space in the class time and day you request. Cheques must be dated the 1st of each month (September 1st - May 1st) and are payable to Grace Beauchamp. Thanks!
GENERAL
Thank you for calling me 'Teacher Grace' in class
Please be on time. Class will begin at the specified time whether your are present or not.
Parents thanks for not visiting during class time. Take notes on concepts being taught to get as much out of lessons as you can. Your enthusiasm will be passed on to your child.
As a courtesy to other students in the classroom, please refrain from eating and drinking during the class. You may bring a water bottle if required.
Please respect your child's learning environment. Turn off your cell phone and have one hundred percent of your attention towards your child. If you have other children please make child care arrangements during the class time.
There are 36 classes consisting of 34 weeks of lessons and 2 recitals
PARENT PARTICIPATION
This is mandatory in all Music for Young Children classes. Parents are essential to the success of this program.
PRACTICE
Good daily practice habits at home are essential for success. Students will benefit the most when they practice 5 days a week for the specified amount of time dependent on level. It is ideal if Mom or Dad can sit with students during practice, particularly in the first few months
MISSED LESSONS
There are no refunds or credits for missed lessons
If the instructor misses a lesson, then it will be made up at a mutually convenient time
If the student misses a lesson, a homework sheet will be provided. There are no refunds or makeups for missed classes. Please give 24 hours notice (minimum) if the student is unable to attend a lesson.
RECITALS
There will be two recitals during the year in which the students present solos and ensembles. Dates will be provided in the policy letter prior to the first class.
LESSON WITHDRAWAL
If you pay before August 1st and then decide to withdraw, I will return all cheques to you and most of the material fees. If you withdraw between August 1st- September 1st, September's tuition is non-refundable. If you decide to withdraw between September 1st - December 1st, September, October and November's tuition is non-refundable. After December 1st, one month's notice is required to end lessons.
