Now Registering Students for January 2012 Start Date Classes in Piano and Theory:
Openings for beginner piano students, age 3 or 4 (Sunshine 1 Level), parents attend the class also and learn with the children! The teacher appreciates the help of parents in the lesson and during home practice sessions and parents are taught the best ways to practice with their children.
Openings for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) theory students at the Basic Rudiments (formerly called Preliminary Rudiments) Level, at the Grade 1 Level (Intermediate), and the Grade 2 Level of theory, in preparation for co-requisite requirements from Grade 5 RCM Piano - Grade 8 RCM levels.
Those students who are currently enrolled in private piano lessons and Music for Young Children will have first priority to being accepted into the theory classes, but students from other piano teachers are welcome to join in as well.
Curent FREE TRY-IT Class Schedule is first-come, first-served and is as follows:
Saturday, January 7th, 4:00pm and Saturday, January 14, 4:00 pm

CONTACTING TEACHER about REGISTRATIONS for Music for Young Children (MYC) for the September 2011- June 2012 School Year
THE RICHMOND HILL MYC STUDIO IS NOW ACCEPTING STUDENT NAMES for the Waiting List for children ages 3.5 to 9. Before accepting registrations for September 2011-2012, either a TRY-IT class or a Meet & Greet is preferred.
If enough students are interested to form a "TRY-IT Class", and there isn't one scheduled or if you just missed one, it is possible to schedule one at a later, mutually agreed time as soon as there are enough children on the waiting list for one.
Here's how scheduling a "TRY-IT class" or "Meet & Greet" works:
1) you contact me via email (LizCouture@hotmail.com) or phone (905 508-0458). Please provide first name and full birth date of child, and which days/times during the week you would be available to do a one hour "TRY-IT Class" with your child.
2) when there are 4-6 children for the same age group, a "TRY-IT Class" is scheduled and you attend with your child to decide if it's a "good fit". It's an opportunity to see the studio, get a feel for the flow of a typical weekly lesson, and ask all the questions you wish.
3) as soon as you decide, you register for Sept 2011-2012 classes (either at the end of the "TRY-IT Class" if you have made up your mind, or as soon as you can make the commitment to the Sept-June schedule). Preference is given to younger siblings of existing students, and there are only a few new level one classes scheduled at this time, and they are found at the "Check the Schedule" page
