For a focus study of piano and the preparation for examinations through RCM, CC, London College or the Associated Board, we recommend age 7 - 12 as the most suitable time for your child to enjoy and excel.  For a free consultation and assessment of your child's progress, schedule and plan or simply sign up for the private lesson waiting list to seek priorities in scheduling, contact info@musicbeeacademy.com.

A student's initial experience with music is fundamental to the success of private piano study.  MusicBee Academy has had pleasant experiences with graduates coming from various early childhood group music programs.  These students were not taught merely to play the piano by ear, and neither were their posture and hand positions neglected.  They were ready to sing and participate.  Many demonstrated abilities for keeping a steady beat, and many also developed perfect pitch.  To prepare students for a lifelong journey to enjoy music, MusicBee Academy is excited to deliver infant and preschool programs promising of joyful and magical music experiences.

MusicBee Academy is glad to present Music for Young Children for students beginning at age 2.  This is the only age-appropriate group music program that prepares students adequately for Grade 1 piano and theory examinations.  Students like it because it is fun with concepts taught by games, stories and activities.  Keyboard integration begins at age 3.  The class is comprehensive covering music reading, ear training, singing, keyboard, composing and arranging, ensemble and theory.  Imagine your child, at age 3, sending his/her composition for the national competition of an annual 15000 participants!  Parents like it because it has a clear goal and curriculum, fosters happy music learning habits and provide a structure for appropriate parental involvements.

For infants and toddlers as young as 2 months of age, MusicBee Academy specializes in Kindermusik programs that nurture your child's physical, emotional, cognitive, language and social skills.   Using music as a tool, this research based program features creative movements, dance, singing, listening, vocal play, stories, rhymes, sign language, games and other activities to promote your child's co-ordination, self-esteem, critical thinking and social skills.  We offer MYC for a structured but fun music learning curriculum that integrates a smooth transition to eventually a focus study of playing an instrument and fosters the techniques as well as work habit required to succeed in RCM/CC examinations.  We offer Kindermusik for our belief in philosophies and approaches of Mozart's effect, Montessori, Orff and Kodaly.  Kindermusik have been researched and developed by a team of consultants and specialists based on the latest research on music and brain development.  At class, parents learn not only how to repeat the activities at home but also how the activities relate to the desired development and stimulation in a child.  We offer Kindermusik Sign and Sing, for example, to help young infants and toddlers to communicate before vocal skills are fully developed.  Studies have proven sign language reduces frustrations and promote language development.  We offer Kindermusik Family Time, as another example, so that siblings of mixed age can enjoy a magical and musical time together.
