Studio Policies
LESSON SCHEDULE
Classes will commence the week of Sept 10, 2012 and will continue for 34 lessons finishing approximately the end of May. Classes are held once per week for one hour. There will be a 2-week winter break and a 1 or 2 week spring break. We will also have two recitals, the first in December and the second in May.
ATTENDANCE
You are required to attend all classes with your child. Your participation greatly ensures your child's success in MYC and your ability to help him or her at home. As with other extracurricular activities, no refund will be given for missed classes.
CANCELLATIONS
I require two full month's written notice if a student is to withdraw from classes. While teachers love to teach, they also depend on teaching for their income. Due to the nature of group lessons, your child's spot in class is reserved for the entire music year and cannot be filled part way through. A commitment to 34 lessons and 2 recitals is expected. There are no refunds after March 31, 2013.
HOMEWORK
Homework expected to be completed each week will include the following:
- 5 practice sessions on your keyboard
- completion of homework pages
