Lesson Schedule

• The teaching year extends from the week after Labor Day in September, to the last week in May. There are 2 weeks holidays at Christmas, and one week at spring break in March. There are regular lessons on all teacher’s Professional Days and all other stat holidays. Exam students continue lessons in June until their exam is completed.

Parent Involvement

• Parents are active participants in the class each week. Remember that enthusiasm is contagious. • Parents act as practise coaches for the daily practises at home. • ENSURE a minimum of 5 days of careful practise on the full assignment. • Make opportunities to play for other people at home, school and other places.

Payment Policy

• A monthly bill is posted at the beginning of each month, and it may be paid at any time during the month. Incidental absences will not be re-imbursed. I will email the lesson assignment and explanation of new concepts for any missed lessons. However, if you give me advance notice, an extended absence will not be billed to your account.

Instrument Requirements

• A piano or keyboard with regular-size keys • Provide good lighting at the piano. • Provide proper firm foam cushions (and a footstool for the youngest) to allow proper posture. • Maintain the piano.
